Events and Pop-Ups are a huge part of our story at OHK. Way back when the cafe was but a far fetched dream, the O’H house and pub lay idle, we took so much pride in extending the space to our creative friends for art & design workshops, food events and pop-ups. This collaborative energy has fed through to so much of our current modes of operation and helped us carve out our own unique space and identity.

Swap Shop
After some successful swaps in the city @bananamelonkitchen is back @ohkcafe with something a little different and we’re very excited to be hosting in Kinsale. Everyone welcome...all we ask is that you dig deep and bring those once beloved garments and swap for fabulous pieces in need of a new home ! It’s easy on the wallet and a fun way to update your wardrobe we’re also bonus excited to have @plasticfreekinsale come on board ... Madeleine will be there to discuss the effects our clothing industry has on our environment and some of the innovative ways we can lead a more sustainable lifestyle. SWAPPING not SHOPPING is a good place to start!. We hope this will be an evening of total EXCHANGE ! MEGA VIBES ALL ROUND music from a banging band of friends , bites + cold beers (OHK usuals) .

TIPP TACO (a totally Tipperary taco event in Cork)
A three-course-taco-feast with a welcome cocktail by the uber talented chefs Tom Colgan and Suz Brown (talented crew from our friends @theblackpigwinebar ) AND the serious piece de resistance of this happening is the take-away one off ceramic dinner plate by artist @maceramiste. €50 for this tremendous night of tacos, art and banter about art and tacos
